Five Pieces for Flute and Guitar were composed in 1980, and revised (slightly expanded) several times during the 1980s. The language is generally diatonic and simple. These are short fantasies/studies. When listed in a program, the movements of this work may be listed as follows:

1. at a relaxed tempo
2. flowing
3. slowly, peacefully
4. cantabile, freely
5. quickly
